Description

The Schaumburg Firefighters Benevolent Association (Federal Tax ID 36-3972831) is proud to be hosting its 28th Annual Firefighters Softball Tournament on September 17, 2022 to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities, the Schaumburg Township Food Pantry and other local charities.  The tournament will feature 34 teams from fire departments throughout the Chicago land area.  The games will again be played at Olympic Fields in Schaumburg.

During the last 27 years we have donated over $835,000 to different charities in the Chicago land area.  Last year, we donated $25,000 to Ronald McDonald House Charities to help keep families close together while their children were undergoing medical treatments.  A donation of $5,000 was given to the Schaumburg Township to help supply the Food Pantry for those less fortunate in their time of need and $5,000 to provide holiday gifts to 12 families who otherwise would go without. The remaining money was given out to other local charities.  This was possible only through the generosity and support of businesses like yours.

While this event is held in Schaumburg, its benefits reach far beyond Schaumburg's borders. The Ronald McDonald House Charities has over 685 programs that have benefited over 1.4 million families in their times of need.  The Schaumburg Township serves over 130,000 residents in seven villages, including Elk Grove Village, Hanover Park, Hoffman Estates, Rolling Meadows, Roselle and Streamwood.

We understand how these last few years has affected everyone and local businesses such as yours.  Last year was our first year back after the pandemic and local business like yours came through with generous hearts.  This year, we would like to resume our charitable work with your help.  We want to express how committed we are to giving back 100% of what we make during the tournament.

Donations of any products, services or gift certificates would be used as silent auction or raffle prizes and would help us achieve our goal of $40,000 for this year.  Donations exceeding $400 will have the company logo displayed on the back of the official softball T-shirts.  The deadlines for these donations will be September 2nd.
