Once again Planting Hope is making accommodations to host an alternative, outdoor 28th Annual Solidarity Craft Fair and Silent Auction, on Saturday, Oct. 2nd, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Julio’s Parking Lot (54 State St) in Montpelier.  We are writing to ask you to donate an item or gift card to our silent auction.  

Past generosity of businesses has helped to keep this tradition viable and to make this one of our most successful local fund-raisers.  Many of our followers look forward to the silent auction as a place to find unique, local gifts. This auction and fair is a major fundraiser for Vermont-based Planting Hope´s educational and cultural exchange projects in Nicaragua (www.plantinghope.org) as well as an important venue for many local artists who make their living through the sales of their crafts. This much-anticipated community event draws many visitors to downtown. 

We know that the past 18 months have brought many challenges for local businesses and organizations.  If you feel able donate an item or gift card of any amount at this time, our project would be very grateful.  We hope this donation will bring you additional business, as last year we had over 1000 visitors to the outdoor fair in downtown Montpelier who are viewing our silent auction table throughout the day.  If it doesn’t seem feasible for you at this time, we understand.
