in 2023 we thought about how to give back to first repsonders in our community,(fire,police,ems,911, ect) we created an event in 8 weeks for first responders and their families only, this is a non publised event as it is only for them, we had aprox 100 persons attend , we were able to have door prizes totalling over $6000. what we did is when they arrived they were each given 10 raffle tickets to put in baskets for what they wanted to win, since it was the first year they were very sceptical about the event, we supplied catered food for them and their families along with adult and childrens games. with the left over food we made box dinners for the diffent departments and hand delivered to them. this year we are expecting 300-400 first responders and family members, we are looking for donations as raffle(again no cost to anyone) prizes or monitary donations to off set our costs.
