2nd Annual Fundraiser
Other Event Type for The Smiley Seth FoundationMar 15, 2020 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM
My name is Sarah Bottari and I am writing to you today in regards to The Smiley Seth Foundation. This Foundation was created in memory of my son, Seth Bottari. At the age of 5 months old, Seth was diagnosed with Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor (ATRT) which is a rare, aggressive cancerous brain tumor. After nine months of being in and out of the hospital, having multiple surgeries, procedures, chemo treatments and spending as much time with his family as possible, Seth passed away on August 30, 2017, just 5 days shy of turning 14 months old. Seth leaves behind me, his dad Steve, his older sister Sadie, among loving grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Our hope for this Foundation is to keep Seth’s memory alive by raising funds for ATRT research, financially helping other families make ends meet who are affected by this heart breaking disease, donating funds and items to Boston Children’s Hospital, especially 9 North where Seth spent most of his life, and supporting bereavement services for families who ultimately lost a child.
The Smiley Seth Foundation is having its second annual fundraising event on Sunday, March 15, 2020 from 12PM-4PM at the Tewksbury Country Club (Seth was also a Tewksbury resident). This is going to be a family friendly event and we are asking our community, local businesses and organizations for help with donations. We are hoping to receive raffle donations to help make this event an even bigger success than last year and we would love your support. If you are able to donate something for our event, please call or email me at the information below. Your contributions will be greatly appreciated!
