The 2nd Annual Golf for Joy "A Tribute to Jack Eckholm" event, which will take place on Saturday, June 30th at Bartlett Hills Golf Club. This event is being organized to remember and honor the life of Jack Eckholm, who lost his battle with Ewing's Sarcoma on July 7, 2019, at the young age of 25. All proceeds from the event will go to the Nikolas Ritschel Foundation (also known as Nik's Wish) an organization that Jack was passionate about. 

Jack's story is one of resilience, strength, and courage in the face of a rare bone cancer diagnosis that changed his life forever. During treatment Jack was introduced to Nik's Wish by his medical center social worker. Jack’s wish was to go to San Diego to see the zoo and relax on the beach with his family. Jack treasured his time with family and friends and cherished the memories he made with them. His experience motivated him to be a part of giving that same opportunity to other young adults. Supporting Nik's Wish was a passion of Jack's, he was very proud to be a part of this wonderful cause.

Nik's Wish is a nonprofit organization that brings joy to young adults (18-24) fighting cancer. These young adults should be starting out on their life’s adventures, attending university, learning a trade, moving into their own place, but instead they are fighting for their lives. Nik's Wish strives to provide JOY, HOPE and lasting memories to young adults and their loved ones battling cancer.
