It is with great excitement that we invite you to participate in Empowered Parents in Community (EPiC)’s 2nd Annual Silent Auction at Provident1898 in Durham on November 11, 2023, as we: “Cultivate, Motivate, Elevate: Empowering families in community to advocate for equity in education.”

EPiC is a non-profit organization that seeks to disrupt and dismantle systemic racial inequities and rebuild a better system. We empower parents/guardians of Black children to advocate for high quality educational opportunities we know exist. We also create safe spaces for parental wellness and supporting students' social emotional health. Moreover, we collaborate with other community organizations to provide resources and tools to help parents and educators create better schools.

To continue this arduous work, we invite your support in raising $40,000 at this event. Here’s how you can help: by contributing an item as an in-kind donation and/or becoming a recognized sponsor of the auction.

The in-kind donated item can be contributed by you, your employer, or both. Highly desirable items include: overnight hotel packages, gift cards to stores or restaurants, tickets to sporting events, platters of hors d’oeuvre or desserts, gift baskets, professional services (ex. consulting, personal chef), and more, we will feature your name and logo on our website, social media, email marketing, and other digital materials. We will also tag your company on our social media and include any special images or text you would like to provide.

As a recognized sponsor, (Ruby: $250, Emerald: $500, Gold: $1000, Platinum: $2,500, Black Diamond: $5,000+) you will receive all of the benefits mentioned above plus, depending on the level, potentially tickets to the event, reserved bar tables, and more.
