2nd Annual Trivia Night
Other Event Type for Oakville Senior High School Robotics Parents AssociationJan 13, 2024 from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM
Dear Friends of Oakville High School Robotics:
The Oakville Senior High School Robotics Parent’s Association or ORPA, asks that you please take a few moments to learn about our upcoming Trivia Night and consider participating by donating to our silent auction or balloon pop. ORPA is a 501(c)(3) formed to provide funding and support for the Oakville Senior High School Robotics Team.
On Saturday, January 13, 2024, we will host our second annual Trivia Night, at Andre’s South St. Louis County. This evening is dedicated to raising funds to support the Oakville Dynamics FIRST Robotics Challenge Team 8719, and their 2024 competition season.
FIRST, is a non-profit organization committed to expanding STEM opportunities for young people. FIRST hosts a variety of competitions from Pre-K through 12th grade. Younger students start competition in LEGO League and progress to FRC, the highest level of competition. In 2022, Oakville Dynamics received the Rookie Inspiration Award and the Highest-Seeded Rookie Team Award. The Oakville Dynamics team spends time mentoring elementary and middle school teams, and offers a variety of community outreach, including hosting the Gateway Robotics Challenge in October, and offering lower level robotics competitions. The team budget (available by request) for the 2024 season includes parts for a competitive robot, competition entry fees, travel expenses for when the team advances beyond regional competition, an enclosed trailer for safe & reasonable transportation of the robot.
Please consider supporting our evening with a product donation for our silent auction or a gift card for our balloon pop. All donations are greatly appreciated and needed before January 3, 20204. A tax receipt will be provided upon request and your company name will be displayed at the event, on 30+ tables and through digital projection throughout the evening.
Thank you for your consideration and support.
Sincerely,
Erica Brown
