Description

I am delighted to share the exciting news that The Mercy Medical Center Forensic Nurse Examiner Program will again host the 7th Annual Bull and Oyster Roast at Columbus Gardens, Nottingham Maryland, on March 16th, 2024 from 7-11PM. This event will mark our Program’s 30th Anniversary of dedication to the City of Baltimore and across Maryland!

The FNE Program at Mercy Medical Center, Baltimore City Maryland, is the designated Forensic Nursing center for sexual assault, domestic violence, human trafficking, elder abuse and other major person’s crimes in Baltimore.  We are a fully mobile Program and respond across the state of Maryland. Due to Federal laws, which prohibit billing a patient or their insurance for a forensic medical examination we are tasked with securing limited, funding.  Our only fundraising effort is this event, where we will host over 500 people – a sold out event.  Funds will be used for forensic medical equipment including pioneering use of Alternate Light Source for detection of injuries not seen with the naked eye.  The work of this Program changes lives and supports victims in becoming survivors of their assaults. We were the recipients of the Presidential Award for Extraordinary Efforts in Combatting Trafficking of Persons for 2023 and continue to lead world - class research and training in caring for patient victims of crime.

We are hoping that you might consider sponsoring the event at a Bronze, Silver, or Gold levels.  If you are unable to be a Corporate Sponsor for our event – might you consider donating any type of gift certificate or item that we may use for our Silent Auction table?  Even a small donation will go a long way to our goal of raising $25,000.
