For 34 years, C.A.R.E. (Center for Abuse & Rape Emergencies) Victim Services of Charlotte County has been assisting victims of sexual assault, domestic violence and other violent crimes in Charlotte County, Florida.    We operate a domestic violence shelter, provide 24/7 on call services for sexual assault victims, we provide civil legal services, operate a transition home, operate a hot line and perform numerous community outreach events to promote healthy and safe relationships.    There is never a charge to our clients for our services.  In 2016, C.A.R.E. answered 1,477 hotline calls for domestic violence and 208 hot line calls for sexual assaults.  C.A.R.E. took on 254 civil legal assistance cases and provided 2,068 crisis counseling hours. In addition, C.A.R.E. responded to 38 sexual assault victims in emergency rooms throughout Charlotte County and provided services to 184 victims of sexual assault.  C.A.R.E. also assisted 91 families in our shelter. 

January 27, 2018 we will host our 30th annual C.A.R.E.  Ball. All funds raised will go to further the mission of C.A.R.E. This is our largest fundraiser of the year. As part of this event we will be hosting a silent auction.
