Description

Media Arts Center San Diego (MACSD), a local nonprofit organization, is presenting the 32nd Annual San Diego Latino Film Festival (SDLFF) on March 19 to 23, 2025 at AMC Mission Valley and Digital Gym Cinema with 15,000+ in-person attendees. For more than thirty years SDLFF has promoted independent films and digital technologies as tools for community self-expression, supporting the professional development of media artists. The festival includes five days of films, special guests, live music, art, workshops, an awards announcement and engaging social events.

We are writing to request a donation for our Silent Auction, which will be held during our festival at our festival hub and at the Closing Night Party at UC San Diego Park & Market on March 22. Attendees will include business and community leaders, festival sponsors, professionals, college and graduate students, educators, and San Diegans with an interest in Latino issues, history, culture, education, and films. The audience is highly educated and affluent: art, music and film enthusiasts, filmmakers, actors, producers, celebrities, industry representatives, journalists, community artists and influencers. By supporting the festival, you are supporting the rise of independent Latino film and their participation in the mainstream media arts.

The film festival is the largest annual fundraiser for MACSD, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization (Fed Tax ID 33-0871577) that has served the San Diego community since 1994. Our organization manages the following educational and outreach programs for underserved communities: Teen Producers Project, Digital Gym Cinema and Youth Media and Tech Camps, among others. You may visit our web site at MediaArtsCenter.org for more information about our programs. All contributions are tax deductible and your company will be recognized in the SDLFF Silent Auction Donor List which will be distributed at the events. MACSD graciously asks that you support this endeavor and we appreciate your support.

Donation items may be mailed to SDLFF, Attn: Paola Hernández-Jiao, 1920 North Marshall, Suite 102, El Cajon, CA 92020, sent via email to paola@mediaartscenter.org  or we can make arrangements to pick them up. Donations should be confirmed/sent by March 12, 2025.

Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have questions.

Sincerely,

Paola Hernández-Jiao
