Request for Complimentary Tickets for Use in Our Fundraising Raffle

Dear Sir and/or Madam:

St. Andrew’s – Torrance and Christ Church – Redondo Beach have begun planning their joint 34th Annual All Parish Picnic.

This year’s event is scheduled for September 10th at Torrance Park.  The day will begin at 9:00 AM with worship under the trees followed by a family picnic with games for the children.  We will also hold a raffle.  Proceeds from the raffle will benefit our programs at both campuses.  Currently, we feed about 100 people each month during our monthly hot meal program.  We offer our buldings for the meetings of several twelve-step programs.  Christ Church also holds a weekly service in Japanese for our Asian community.  We have also taken on support of Nueva Esperanza School in Honduras, providing students with scholarships, computers and school supplies.  We provide volunteers to work with Habitat for Humanity.  We provide our support each year to a needy family at Christmas, providing food and gifts for the family.

The success of our raffle indicates at what level we can maintain our programs.  We are writing to businesses for their support in providing prizes which we can offer in our raffle. We ask if it would be possible for you to provide Complimentary tickets for your family friendly venue.  We will include you in all of the advertising for this event.  There are usually about 100 in attendance at the picnic.  Of course, anything you would be willing to contribute will be greatly appreciated.

Both St. Andrew's Episcopal Church and Christ Episcopal Church are two of the oldest active parishes in the South Bay area.
