This October, CS will be hosting our 35th Anniversary Ball. Not only does the
Ball help raise funds for the orchestra and its educational programs, but it also raises
awareness of our mission throughout the community and the Chicago area.
Our previous Balls helped fund projects such as Freeman Fellowship Program to
develop diverse and emerging musicians, conductors, and administrators
on and off-stage; the MakingMUSIC education program to provide a multi-stage
initiative to Chicago Public School students with a long-term learning experience; Artistin-Residence program to champion important voices and evolve the relationship
between artists and audience; Project W to highlight contemporary, diverse women
composers; and the Pay-What-You-Can program to make performing arts a part of
daily life for everyone. Our MakingMUSIC program, in particular, allows us to work with
multiple education-based community partners, primarily in the South and West sides, in
order to extend the benefits of music education and access to underserved youth.

This year’s event will be held on October 29, 2022 at the Fairmont Millennium Park Hotel
Downtown Chicago. Since the event’s inception, we’ve been able to increase funds
each year! Last year, we hosted nearly 400 people at our annual Ball; and this year
we’re expecting at least 600 guests.

However, this event wouldn’t be possible without the support of local institutions who
provide valuable experience donations so that we can support our attendees and
participants and augment our fundraising efforts through an auction event. Auction donations allow us to further fulfill our orchestra's mission and fundraising goals. Thank you in advance for your consideration!
