Description

Arizona Bleeding Disorders is requesting your support to help with making our 36th Annual My Nana’s Best Tasting Salsa Challenge a success. This culinary competition features over 100 freshly made salsas and “chefs” that compete for judges’ votes. Our annual salsa challenge is our largest fundraiser of the year and proudly features restaurants, businesses, and individuals competing to make the best salsa in their category. Nearly 10,000 people are expected to attend this year’s event to enjoy the freshly made salsas, listen to live music, sip margaritas, and vote for their salsa favorite. This year’s event is scheduled for April 18, 2020 at Sloan Park (home to the Chicago Cubs Training Facility) in Mesa, AZ.

The funds raised by this event will allow us to provide many programs, such as Camp HONOR, where for one week children with bleeding disorders can come together with their siblings and partake in normal childhood activities without the worry of their condition. Your gift makes financial assistance available for children, adults, and families who otherwise could not afford critical items such as insurance premiums, gaps in coverage, medical bills, and basic living necessities. Without that support, children may not get the treatment and support they need which can lead to greater risk of complications and permanent, debilitating injury. The success of this event is a result of dedicated volunteers, event participants, and generous sponsors.

Over the years, the Margarita Mix-Off competition has become a highlight of the event. To raise funds, we auction off the competing bartender’s margaritas in a live auction, and to raise the value, we pair them with generous donations from businesses such as yours. To increase the impact we can make for our community, this year we are adding a silent auction to coincide with our boisterous live auction.

We would be so grateful if you would consider donating items to our live and/or silent auctions. Examples include tickets packages, unique one-of-a-kind experiences or other items that could add to the excitement. Hundreds of families in our community will benefit from your support and the funds raised during this event. All donations are tax deductible; our tax identification number is 86-0209257.

Arizona Bleeding Disorders organizes and manages this event with over 300 volunteers and wonderful partners who are able to achieve their business goals while making a meaningful contribution.
