Welcome to the 3rd annual Lone Star Black Belt Academy Parent Association (LSBBAPA) Golf Tournament! We are getting bigger and better every year with more golfers, more prizes and more fun and excitement!. Last year we introduced Cheat for Charity, which allows you to buy a score on the difficult Par 5 3rd hole. Many came in with a score of ZERO! That was well worth it for our competitive teams who enjoyed the day vying for bragging rights while raising funds for a very worthy cause.

WHY DO WE GOLF?

Lone Star Black Belt Academy was established by Steven and Jennifer Jackson on May 9, 2008.  Mr. Jackson is currently a 6th DAN black belt in American Tae Kwon Do with over 30 years experience in American Kickboxing and 15 years of Muay Tai Kickboxing experience.  He is also a professor Black Belt in Brazillian Jiu Jitsu. Our Students have the unique ability to cross train through all of these martial arts as well as gain respect, discipline, confidence and personal responsibility.  Our students have competed and won on every level of competition including Local, State and World tournaments . At every level we have brought home multiple championships and valuable experiences. These experiences help build a child's self esteem, character, discipline, strong community ties, and volunteerism. LSBBAPA is a non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to provide funding to support the students as they strive to achieve their martial arts goals while also learning to thrive in society.

LSBBAPA has also created a scholarship fund in memory of our friend Marty Fangman to help bridge the gap for students who may be experiencing hardships:

Marty Fangman (1948-2021) is the father of Zachary Fangman who started at Lone Star Black Belt Academy in 2012 and earned his black belt in 2020.  Marty was a supporter and volunteer for LSBBA because he believed strongly in the program and the positive effect it had on his son's coordination and fitness. Lone Star Black Belt Academy has also, under the guidance of Master Instructor Steven Jackson, provided his son with discipline, self confidence, and taught him the respect of others. He gained a sense of belonging and community in an environment that strives to empower students to overcome obstacles such as social anxiety and bullying. Marty would be proud to know he assisted in the success and well-being of another student. Marty also loved a good game of golf!
