My name is Carrie Leal and I am currently serving as the president of the Van ISD Education Foundation.  We are a 503c non-profit organization that raises money for grants for our teachers and scholarships for our seniors.  Last year we gave over $48,000 in grants and $15,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors.  We have also recently implemented a program that offers scholarships for teachers seeking certification or continuing education.  We are passionate about providing resources to better the education of our students at Van ISD and we could not be successful without the generosity of our donors and sponsors. 

On Thursday, March 7, 2024 we will be hosting our Third Annual Purse Bingo Event.  This is by far our biggest fundraiser of the year as we raised over $41,000 last year!  Any donations or discounts we receive from corporate donors and local businesses maximize the amount of funds we are able to raise and thereby give back to our schools!  We are expecting approximately 350 participants this year.  All of our donors will receive advertisement on Facebook, Instagram, and on programs and signage the night of the event.
