Established in 2018, Rally Against Parkinson’s Harford, Inc. (RAP) serves as a resource for excellence, exercise, wellness and camaraderie for people living with Parkinson’s Disease (PD). This support includes spouses, care partners, families and friends of those battling PD. RAP fully funds all fitness programs, free of charge for those suffering from PD. The fitness programming offered is Rock Steady Boxing, internationally recognized as one of the best ways to combat the symptoms of the disease. We are the only organization in Harford County, Maryland offering these highly effective fitness programs to anyone with Parkinson’s Disease. 

RAP offers fitness classes at two live locations. We also offer virtual classes via zoom for those that cannot or do not want to attend live classes. We currently serve approximately 120 class participants with 10 class offerings per week. We provide resources to the community about living with Parkinson’s, including quarterly newsletters and monthly updates with educational information about PD and PD-related events. 

Our annual golf outing is one of our two major fundraisers that help raise funds to cover half of our annual budget. We will have over 150 people in attendance with recognition for all donors in our event program, online and at our awards ceremony,
