3rd Annual Roll N Stroll
Walk/Run for NSSEO Foundation Inc/ Miner SchoolMay 18, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM
Dear Community Partner,
The therapeutic day school program at Miner School, (part of the Northwest Suburban Special Education Organization) provides a comprehensive educational program for students with a wide range of special needs including autism spectrum disorders, behavioral disorders, cognitive disabilities, physical/health impairments, and multiple disabilities. The elementary program is designed to meet the needs of students in Early Childhood through 8th Grade. Intensive support is provided in a team-based instructional model that addresses the needs of the whole child within a caring and responsive therapeutic environment.
We are now preparing to hold our 3rd annual Roll n’ Stroll Community Fundraiser on Saturday, May 18th, 2024. This event will allow our students, families, and community to participate in a community walk, with games and raffle in our own neighborhood located at Miner School.
The funds raised will help provide more curriculum and activities involved in daily living skills and community-based instruction. Last year, following our second event, we were able to purchase additional materials including a wagon to help transport students, books, and gym items as well as classroom games, and other items to support sensory support and instruction across the day. Thanks to the donations of many generous organizations, such as yours, we are hoping to utilize funds raised to purchase items that are adapted and allow for all our student’s to access equipment and participate in activities
Although our students, parents and wonderful staff work extremely hard to ensure the success of this fundraiser, we cannot be successful without the incredibly generous contributions from organizations such as yours. We are requesting donations for raffle prizes and items. We are aware that you receive numerous requests for donations, and we thank you for your consideration. Please know that any contribution would be greatly appreciated.
Kindest Regards,
