Description

On Saturday June 15th,

I will join over 300 people at the 3rd Annual SCFFL Foundation Golf Tournament with the goal of helping improve the health of children with the 22q deletion, a syndrome often requiring children to have multiple surgeries not long after birth.

This year’s tournament will help continue our support to the 22q Foundation and their mission to help children touched by this chromosomal deletion and the medical necessities needed to provide for them and their families. In the last few years, the SCFFL Foundation helped the 22q Family foundation with its 3 direct services. Their Educational Consulting Program, Career Pathways / Career Consulting Program and the Riley Dempster 22q Family Foundation Scholarship.

We are returning for this third year with the hope of sustaining our level of support for this very important beneficiary.

Last year, we added a second recipient to our fundraiser. "Skills of Life Cafe". SOL is a non-profit Santa Cruz organization with a mission to teach people with mild to moderate mental disabilities to learn skills allowing them to find and keep employment. With last year’s funds raised, we helped the SOL cafe pay for the building of their classroom as well as the coffee and snack concession trailer. This year's fundraiser will help SOL with its phase 2 of financing the fees for licensing, permitting, registration and provide help for the supply and marketing of this charitable local organization. This year, the SCFFL Foundation is also launching another bold but necessary project.

Our involvement in the community opened the door to explore additional groups in need. The SCFFL Foundation has added to its mission to support our promising youth from the Santa Cruz County and Pajaro Valley area with great athletic abilities, but who might not be able to pursue their sport due to financial hardship. Our goal is to keep these young high performing athletes pushing forward with their endeavor by dedicating grants to be used to pay for their club fees as well as various equipment needs. Our hope is to financially support a handful of athletes this year and more of them in years to come.

Our overall target for this year’s fundraiser is $75,000. Please, help me and other already committed sponsors, reach that goal with your support. Your donation is of course tax deductible as we are a non-profit charity. We are hoping that by making a pledge to the SCFFL Foundation, your business will be helping us fund those children affected and in need.

As a thank you for your support, the SCFFL Foundation will also bringing exposure to your good deeds by using multiple media publications. There will be 244 golfers, dozens of business owners, many healthcare providers and around 30 people volunteering for the tournament. Attached, you will find a summary of the multiple ways you can contribute.

The sponsorships are tailored to allow businesses from all sizes and budgets to associate their names with us and our mission. The multiple benefits of joining forces with us is also described on the attached sponsorship page. The deadline to get the sponsors' pledges is May15th. Following the event, I will send out a brief recap of the SCFFL Foundation Golf Tournament achievements to all the sponsors and donors.

Please, do not hesitate to call me if you have any questions or comments about the SCFFL Foundation fundraiser tournament.

Thank you in advance for your support.
