43rd Annual Meeting
Meeting/Networking for Chicago Jobs CouncilJun 14, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
The Chicago Jobs Council will host its 43rd Annual Meeting on Friday June 14, 2024 at 9:00 AM with a theme of “What’s the Story With Workforce Development?” This event will be in-person and include breakfast, organizational updates, Insight Sessions with workforce leaders, a presentation of the Betty J. Wilhoitte Award, networking opportunities for members of the workforce development field, and of course the silent auction.
Proceeds from our silent auction will support our work as we provide public and customized trainings, learning cohorts, and communities of practice; engage with stakeholders to facilitate changes that lead to a more equitable workforce development system; and advocate for policies to eliminate barriers to employment and create viable career pathways for workers in Illinois to thrive.
With an expected audience of up to 200 individuals in attendance, the event showcases our commitment and expertise of Chicago’s network of organizations, businesses and partners that are helping unemployed individuals access the preparation and training needed to get back to work. Additionally, we will be sharing details of the event with our email list of over 3,000 individuals and social media network of 10,000+ individuals.
