Description

We aim to inspire, teach, and honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during the federal holiday weekend, which occurs on the third Monday of each January. A commemorative parade accompanied by other celebratory festivities and yearly community activities occurs throughout the Holiday weekend.

In addition, the Black Heritage Society Inc. celebrates the black heritage and African American history of those who have paved the way. As African Americans, we understand the importance of voting, democracy, and equality. We must stay relevant with information that impacts Blacks and other minorities to advocate rights for all people. African Americans died for the freedom that the global experience today. Blacks must continue the ladder of success by building a network of opportunity and wealth in our communities to rise above poverty injustices. Review our projects as we continue to pave the way for the future.

With a long history of fighting for equal justice and social accommodations for the rights of all people, the Black Heritage Society subscribes to Activism, Advocacy, and Action on behalf of the underprivileged, underserved, disenfranchised, and marginalized population.
