We are organizing the scout ball for the 49th time. The Cserkész Bál (Scout Gala) is the largest Hungarian ball in the San Francisco Bay Area. In the post-covid period, the number of our teams is increasing again. We would like to update our aging tools and equipment and buy a new trailer because the parents deliver the equipment to the camps one by one with their own cars.

There are currently 69 children under the age of 14 in the boy and girl teams. 26 guard leaders, platoon leaders and commanders.

We meet every two weeks and in school sessions they learn Hungarian grammar, literature, history and geography. In addition to Hungarian traditions and customs, scouting skills such as map reading and knotting are taught during scouting.

We expect 200 guests at the scout ball. Every year, the ball is opened by the dance of the first-timers. this year, the 9 couples have already started preparing for the opening dance.

The guests of the ball are Hungarians of all ages, from young couples to older supporters

Once again, we can hold the ball at the elegant Green Hills Country Club, where we have organized the event for several years
