On August 26th, 2023, 4Cs of Sonoma County is hosting a special 50th Anniversary Celebration. Guests will enjoy a Solid Gold-themed evening, including dinner, dancing, live and silent auction, fun activities, and music from the 70s in the decade we began.   
   
 In 1972 seven change makers boldly embarked on a mission to provide Sonoma County families and businesses with a solution to the child care challenge. Over the last fifty years in Sonoma County, families across many socioeconomic backgrounds have benefitted from 4Cs services helping them to access early education and quality Child Care. Since the beginning we have supported the community as a resource and referral agency, we have: 
  
Grown from an annual budget of $13,000 in 1972 to an agency budget of $25 million in 2022.   
Blossomed from a team of 7 volunteers comprised of educators, parents, and community members to a staff of over 200.  
Began operating 4 preschool programs in 1986 taking over contracts from the Sonoma County Office of Education. Fast forward to today, we have 12 4Cs preschools operating throughout Sonoma County.   
Established the food program that supports family child care providers (FCC). By early 2000, we supported 450 FCC providers. Today our Food Program team distributes $1.6 million in food reimbursements to our FCC providers.   
Collected data beginning in the 1980s to measure the number of local families that called our Resource and Referral department for providers and parent support. This past year our Resource and Referral department navigated 12,000 calls from families.  
  
4Cs has not changed our mission, drive, or ability to grow as our community’s needs increase. We are focused on expanding our ability to support our community for the next 50 years and beyond.
