My name is Tiffany Ruby and I am one of the founders and the President of the Lehigh Valley K9’s, a local nonprofit whose mission is to provide resources and funding through charitable donations to local law enforcement K9 units so that they may carry out their assigned duties and protect our communities from harm.

As a fellow business owner in the Lehigh Valley area, you understand the importance of a safe and secure community. Our local law enforcement K9 teams play a crucial role in maintaining public safety, apprehending suspects, locating missing individuals, and detecting illicit substances. However, these dedicated K9 officers often face financial constraints that limit their access to essential resources, including equipment, specialized training, veterinary care, quality food, and emergency funds. Lehigh Valley K9s is committed to bridging this gap by raising funds to provide our brave K9 officers with the support they need to carry out their vital work effectively. We organize various fundraising events and donation drives throughout the year to ensure our local law enforcement K9 teams have the best possible tools and resources at their disposal.

Today, I am humbly reaching out to you to request your support in this noble cause. Your generous contribution will directly impact the lives of our K9 officers and their handlers, fostering a safer environment for everyone in the community. Your donation will be used entirely towards:

1. **Equipment:** Up-to-date and specialized gear, including harnesses, leads, and protective vests, will improve the safety and effectiveness of our K9 teams during their duties.

2. **Vehicles:**Specially modified vehicles designed to ensure the safety of our K9 teams are vitally important.  Equipment such as temperature monitoring and remotely activated door openers provide peace of mind to the handler and ensure the K9 is secure and safe.

3. **Training:** Continuous training is crucial for K9 teams to maintain their skills and stay current with the latest law enforcement techniques. Your support will ensure they receive the best training available.

4. **Veterinary Care:** Regular medical check-ups and prompt access to veterinary care are essential for the health and well-being of our K9 officers.

5. **Quality Food:** A balanced and nutritious diet is crucial to keep our K9 officers in optimal physical condition for their demanding tasks.

6. **Emergency Funds:** Unforeseen circumstances can arise at any time. Having emergency funds available ensures that our K9 teams can promptly respond to urgent situations.

          On Sunday, May 19, 2024, we are hosting a Designer Bag Bingo at Diamond Fire Company’s Bingo Hall in Walnutport, Pennsylvania to help raise awareness and funds. We will have twenty games offering Coach, Michael Kors, and Kate Spade purses as well as three specialty games. Additionally, we will have a 50/50 raffle, a basket raffle, and a bake sale.
