Since  1986, HCCI has made a substantial impact on the social and living conditions of Harlem by developing over 3,500 units of low to moderate income housing, securing employment for more than 2,000 individuals, creating supportive health and human service facilities, including 60 units of housing for individuals affected by HIV /AIDs; 21 units of housing for youth aging out of foster care; safe afterschool programs that improves scholastic achievement of elementary students with a focus on math and reading tutorials. Run in partnership with the NY Institute of Technology, the HCCI Clubhouse provides young people with access to cutting edge graphics, computer editing, and robotics programs with a focus on S.T.E.A.M. This year we opened a 10,000 sq.ft. affordable daycare facility for over 150 children.  Our financial literacy program has counseled more than 29,000 residents through group seminars and individual home ownership counseling. To date, we have helped more than 600 families to secure homes through these services. This year marks HCCI's 31st year of providing services to the holistic Harlem community.
