The Autism Society San Diego is celebrating our 50th anniversary in 2016.  Our organization began in 1966 by serving families who needed to connect, support and share their experiences raising an autistic child. 

Since that time, our organization has become one of the most successful affiliates in the country.  We provide most of our programs for free or very low cost for our participants.  We provide summer camps for children, teens and adults.  We offer 6 different support and information meetings every month.  In addition, we provide monthly free, family pool parties and gym nights.  These are only a few examples of the many activities we offer.

 We are dedicated to supporting autistic persons and their families.  Each and every year we expand and grow our services and supports. 

We are proud that we have many professional individuals who are professionals in autism and businesses who collaborate with us to offer many opportunities for our community.

Our all volunteer board works very hard to meet the needs of the community.  Autism affects 1 in 68 children.  Families need information and support to successfully help their children grow into productive and happy adults who are accepted by our community.
