This annual event opens an evening where community members join to learn more about literacy and foundational learning of young children in our community. Local authors will have time to share their writing experience with audience. We will also raffle numerous items to raise funds for children’s literacy development.

All funds collected at this event will go directly to the advancement of children’s literacy development in underserved populations in our Greater San Antonio area. The funds will allow our team to continue developing literacy resources that we offer families at no cost. We will be able to continue providing mini-libraries in the area, as well as directed story and activity times where children are taught in an authentic and personalized way. Family members are also guided in ways to continue the learning growth opportunities in the home. Throughout the year, our administrative costs remain extremely low. With leadership and a serving team who are all volunteers, we are able to allocate the overwhelming majority of our funds to impact children and their families directly.

Our foundation serves the whole family. We believe the young child needs the support and guidance of parents, siblings, extended family and the community as a strong foundation is provided. For this reason, while we work with young children, we include their support network in the observations and collaboration of learning. Thank you for considering stretching that community of support for these families who otherwise would not receive strength in their early years.
