Description

My name is Travis Puryear and I am a board member and Media Relations Manager of a non-profit organization called Outdoors For Our Heroes (OFOH).  We are in the process of finding generous companies willing to provide donations for our 5th Annual Banquet and Auction “Cast & Blast” with Got Your 6 Fishing being held on July 10, 2021.  We are seeking items for our banquet and auction.  We need higher-priced items for our Live Auction, mid-range priced items for our silent items, and other items that we can use for raffles.  First, a little about us.

OFOH is a 501c3 non-profit that is dedicated to bringing our nation’s heroes to the outdoors.  Our mission is to provide a memorable outdoor experience through hunting for America’s disabled and recovering military Veterans and first responders. By sponsoring and facilitating outdoor trips we strive to enhance the healing process, create lasting memories, and provide a support system for our nation’s heroes.  We are changing our heroes’ lives one outdoor experience at a time.  This year we are merging with Got Your 6 Fishing (still operating under OFOH’s license) to provide our disabled heroes with fishing opportunities on top of hunting.  These men and women have put their lives, limbs, and health on the line so that you and I can enjoy the freedoms that we do.  The least that we can do is to help them heal when (and if) they come home.  I am sure you agree.

Most of our operating revenue for the year comes from our annual banquet and auctions.  Last year we were hit hard by COVID-19 but were able to execute an online auction for the generous donations from organizations like yours.  While we considered the online auction a success, it generated about half of the revenue normally achieved by our in-person events.  This year we have secured the Washington State Fair Events Center Agriplex building for our event and hope to have 400 attendees (COVID restrictions permitting).  Our attendees include influential people such as business professionals, doctors, lawyers, as well as a mix of blue-collar workers; all who are avid outdoorsmen and women who appreciate our disabled veterans, first responders, and the companies who support them.  Our goal this year is to send out 50 disabled heroes on memorable hunts and fishing trips while retaining the quality of the experience and the healing opportunity.  This will only be possible with generous donations from companies like yours.

We are excited to partner with you to make a difference in the lives of our American disabled veterans and first responders by providing these experiences where he or she can heal mentally, emotionally, and physically.

We at OFOH would like to thank you for your time and consideration and are excited to partner with you for our 5th Annual Banquet and Auction “Cast & Blast” with Got Your 6 Fishing!
