We are pleased to be hosting an exciting event to support homeless Veterans in Connecticut and its surrounding areas. Our fifth annual “Homes for the Brave Mini Golf Tournament” will take place on Friday, November 19 at Vazzano’s Four Seasons in Stratford and will feature 15 holes of indoor miniature golf, dinner, and prizes.

Proceeds from the Tournament will benefit HFTB’s programs and services. Our three housing programs include: Homes for the Brave, a transitional housing program for homeless men, primarily Veterans; Waldorf House, a permanent supportive housing program for formerly homeless individuals; and Female Soldiers: Forgotten Heroes, the Tri-State area’s only transitional housing program exclusively for female Veterans and their young children.

In addition, we have the Veterans Service Center, open to any Veteran who is homeless or at-risk of homelessness, and the Training for Success Vocational and Educational Program, which assists Veterans with resume writing, interview preparation, job search, and connecting them to education and job benefits. In January, we started the HFTB Clinical Program to provide high-quality mental health services to our residents and visitors.

As state and federal funding continues to deplete, we depend on generous donors like you to help our residents receive the treatment and tools they need—and deserve—to return to independent living, such as job training, life skills coaching, case management services, and assistance establishing permanent housing.
