Our 5th annual fundraising auction is in the works and will be here before we know it!  Our on-line event will take place February 11, 2022, through February 13, 2022, and we already have over 400 bidders joined.  We have historically had over 500 participants!  Our school population is over 3000 and we advertise to not only our school, but to all families in our district, as well as to all community members in Wylie, Murphy, Sachse, and surrounding areas.  Now is the time of year that we ask our community partners for help to make this event as successful as it can be.  Your consistent generosity will help us continue to provide programs, supplies, and assistance to all the cadets and staff of our amazing AFJROTC program.
 
The mission of the WHS AFJROTC is to “Develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community."  Air Force JROTC provides leadership training and an aerospace science program and other STEM programs for high school students. Secondary school students who enroll in the AFJROTC program are offered a wide variety of curricular and extra-curricular activities. The program is NOT a recruiting tool for the military services and those students who participate in AFJROTC do not incur any obligation to the Air Force.  At Wylie High School, this program is fostering leadership and community service in our young men and women and offers outstanding STEM coursework.  These cadets give us amazing hope for the best of the future leaders of this great country.  This program benefits every member of the Wylie High School family, as well as the entire community, through their tireless volunteer efforts.  As their booster organization, we support the program with food as they work for the community and the school, equipment for their competitions, and money for entrance and travel expenses for conferences, educational field trips, and drill team and fitness competitions.  We also give scholarships to deserving senior cadets every year.  Additionally, we provide 100% volunteer sponsor chaperones for events that require us, as well as for the planning and execution of all fundraising endeavors.
 
Past donations from our community partners have included hotel stays, photo packages, airline miles, golf excursions, gift cards, sports and other event and amusement tickets, gift baskets, and much more!  Any gift you believe would be appropriate to donate to our auction would be greatly appreciated.  Alternatively, we also gratefully accept monetary donations and sponsorships. All donors are recognized during our event and throughout the year as community partners.  As an IRS 501(3) non-profit organization, federal ID # 30-0163607, we are happy to submit a receipt, W9, or copy of our most current determination letter for your records.
