Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County’s (BBBS of SDC) 60th Annual Gourmet Dinner will take place on October 14, 2022 at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines, celebrating life changing one-to-one mentoring relationships that inspire children to realize their full potential and strive for a brighter future.

The past couple years have been unlike any other, but thanks to supporters and incredible volunteer “Bigs”, Big Brothers Big Sisters continues to create professionally supported one-to-one matches, igniting the potential of so many Littles in San Diego. Evidence shows that having a Big helps a child develop greater confidence, improve family relationships and achieve educational success. We’ve witnessed our programs support kids when they needed it the most and it is the ongoing commitment of local businesses like yours that help Big Brothers Big Sisters continue outreach to our community, bring awareness to our mission, and help us strengthen our positive impact on children and families in San Diego County.

The Annual Gourmet Dinner is BBBS of SDC’s largest fundraiser of the year, raising the funds needed to support almost one third of the children we serve each year and the silent auction is a highly visible and vital part of our fundraising effort for the event. Our silent auction is held through an online platform and will be open to all who wish to support BBBS by bidding on items, not restricted to those in attendance at the event – enabling us to reach a much greater pool of supporters.

As the nation’s largest donor and volunteer supported network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”) in underserved communities across the country, including right here in San Diego. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.
