On Wednesday, October 23, 2019 we will be holding our 6th annual Beers and Cheers for Autism fundraiser. The event will take place at Mike Hess Brewing in North Park, with all proceeds benefiting the Autism Society San Diego's summer recreation programs: Camp I CAN (Camp Including Children with Autism Now), Surf Camp for Persons with Autism and AWARE (Adults with Autism Recreation Experience). These summer camp programs provide numerous opportunities for the participants to have traditional summer camp experiences, tailored to their special needs. We provide autism trained staff and offer the campers the chance to spend a week just focused on having fun. For many of our participants, the experience can be life changing. The money raised will help offset the cost of camp for the families and participants, so anyone who wants to attend will be able to attend without financial limitations.
