BraveOnes Foundation is volunteer run 501(c)(3) nonprofit that was created in 2018 in memory of my son, Hendrix Kunze, who passed away just after his 1st birthday. Our mission is to create childhood joy for children in need. We achieve this through our BraveOnes' programs like Meaningful Meals (filling hearts + bellies with music & food from local restaurants) and Toys for Joy (providing Lakeshore Learning Center educational toys). We also partner w/ organizations for projects that align w/ our mission, such as CHOC Children's Hospital, Girl Scouts of America, & Waymakers HB Youth Shelter. This has included funding wireless EEG Units for the Neuroscience Playroom at Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) so pediatric patients are able to play during their long term seizure testing, and Xboxs for each patient room on CHOC's 5th floor when the playroom was closed due to COVID. We've also partnered with Rulk (IG @DaRulk) + Igloo Coolers to provide over 100 fun kid-themed coolers to high risk youth at Waymakers Huntington Beach Youth Shelter & the medically fragile students of West Orange County Consortium for Special Education.

We are hosting our 6th Annual Hangout for Hendrix Fundraiser on 11.9.23 at Bosscat Kitchen & Libations in Irvine, CA. BraveOnes would love to partner for this upcoming event's silent auction, which has been successful in past years. All event proceeds will directly benefit our programs to create childhood joy for children in need.
