On Friday August 9, 2024 madd York Region will host along with York Regional Police our 7th

annual “GOLF FORE MADD” tournament at Cardinal Red Crest Golf Club in King. This marks the

return to our invaluable fundraiser since our last tournament in 2019 due to the pandemic.

York Region has been faced with too many catastrophic impaired driving crashes. The devastation

from these crashes has a long-lasting ripple effect on the families, friends, and the citizens of York

Region and beyond. madd York Region is supporting an even greater number of victims, and the

financial demands on our chapter have increased. Funds are required to enable us to send more

victims and volunteers to attend madd National’s conference, where victims of impaired driving are

provided individual and group support and volunteers gain knowledge and experience to assist

victims through the court system and well beyond the judicial process.

It is madd York Region's goal this year to attend as many community events as possible to bring

awareness to the citizens of York Region. The chapter will also attend school events to educate and

enlighten the youth in the community of the risks of impaired driving and how to be proactive.

madd Canada’s mission is to stop impaired driving and support victims of this violent crime.

In order for us to continue to fulfill our mission madd York Region requires much needed funds.
