Each year Dallas Cotillion Club (DCC) hosts fundraising and awareness events as well as our annual black-tie gala held in May. This year’s annual gala will mark 79 years of service to the Dallas community. Our current beneficiary is Genesis Women’s Shelter whose mission is “to provide safety, shelter, and support for women who have experienced domestic violence and to raise awareness regarding its cause, prevalence, and impact.” DCC serves in a volunteer and fundraising capacity to aid in the $7.3MM it takes to keep Genesis Women’s Shelter running. In the last four years, we’ve been able to support Genesis by serving on-site as shelter volunteers, procured $10,000+ worth of welcome home products, toiletries, and holiday gifts for shelter families, and raised over $100,000 in monetary donations. This year we intend to raise at least $25,000 for Genesis through our silent auction, underwriting, and fundraising efforts.
