The Faces of SMA Celebration & Silent Auction is a fundraising event held by The Fighting for Kaiden Foundation in honor of all those battling Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). Our Foundation is committed to improving and enhancing the health and wellbeing of those diagnosed with SMA by filling unmet needs.
SMA is a genetic disease that robs people of physical strength by affecting the motor nerve cells in the spinal cord. The body progressively weakens until it simply cannot perform the basic functions necessary for life, such as walking, eating and even breathing. SMA is the number one genetic cause of death in infants with no cure but 3 current treatments.
