Description
Big Brothers Big Sisters is known as the premiere mentoring program across the nation that provides children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. Research proves that children enrolled in Big Brothers Big Sisters programs are more likely to improve in school and in their relationships with family and friends, and less likely to skip school or use illegal drugs or alcohol.

Our local organization has been mentoring youth for 46 years. Big Brothers Big Sisters of NWGA Mtns. mentors children through two programs. The community based Big Brothers Big Sisters Program provides mentors to youth that participate in cultural activities in the community. Last year, we provided matches to almost 100 children through the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program. The Buddy Program is our in-school mentoring program. Bigs meet with their Little in the school setting providing tutoring and social activities for one hour per week. Well over 300 children were matched in the Buddy Program in 2014.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is planning our 7th Annual Father Daughter Ball scheduled for Friday, June 19, 2015 in Downtown Dalton at Rockbridge Stage 123. The event includes a walk down the red carpet, carriage rides, dinner, dancing, and a silent auction. Funds raised during the ball, provides at- risk children with a volunteer who spends quality time each week in our community.

With your help, we can continue growing and reaching more children. We would appreciate your participation in our upcoming event. We hope you will consider a donation for our auction from your company.

We are happy to acknowledge your business as a partner during the event. Big Brothers Big Sisters is a non-profit organization 501(c)3 and your donation is tax-deductible.
Thank you for your consideration. We appreciate your
support.
