Description

This is the 8th year that CHRIC will be hosting its annual golf tournament, "The CHRIC Classic."  It will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023  at the Chautauqua Golf Club's Hill Course.  The tournament will be followed by an Awards Reception & Steak Luncheon being held at the Lake Chautauqua Memorial VFW Post #8647, Mayville, NY  14757. 

The CHRIC Classic is a great opportunity for you or your company to support a worthy cause and at the same time receive valuable exposure and have a great time!

Registration and morning refreshments begin at 7:00 AM with a shot Gun Start on the Hill Course at 8:00 AM.  Games include: Dice Game on Par 3; Closest to the Pin; Longest Drive- Men & Women; Longest Putt; Par 3 Challenge and On the Turn Putting Competition (2-Putts).

Donations of gift certificates, gift baskets & raffle prizes are greatly welcomed, appreciated and beneficial to the success of this event.

Entry Fee is $95 per player or $380 a Foursome. (Luncheon included with Entry Fee)

Your donation stays local and will help CHRIC change the lives of more people in Chautauqua County in 2023.  From Senior Citizens, Veterans, Low-Moderate Income families/individuals needing home repairs or handicapped accessibility, to helping First-Time Homebuyers achieve the American Dream of homeownership, your donation provides us with the ability to serve our community.

CHRIC will use these donations to fill our Raffle Tables to rasie more funding to apply towards our much needed programs in Chautauqua County.

CHRIC is a Registered 501C3 Non-Profit in the State of New York and was founded to improve the housing stock of Chautauqua County.  CHRIC formed as a non-profit with a voluntary board to carry out county housing initiatives.  CHRIC became the state's first "Rural Preservation Company."  CHRIC also became a chartered Memember of NeighborWorks Americaon February 25, 2003.

CHRIC's budget is grant-based.  An Annual Rural Preservation grant from NYS Homes and Community Renewal, Division of Housing & Community Renewal (DHCR) provides the basic administrative support which allows the agency to secure program funding.

CHRIC has addressed the needs of thousands of housing units over the decades, both single-family homes and apartments.   CHRIC has been able to help landlords make their rental properties lead-safe.  CHRIC specializes in adaptive and emergency repairs to allow disabled and elderly people stay in their homes by providing assistance such as wheelchair ramps, handicapped modifications to bathrooms and kitchens, which have allowed elderly and disabled people to stay in their homes.  Without this work many would have been foreced to leave their houses.  

CHRIC has also brought in millions of dollars in funding for Community Development Projects such as the Sherman Main Street Project, Dunkirk Lighthouse & Veteran's Park Museum Retaining Wall and Roof Restorations Projects, the Sinclairville Senior Center Project, Restoration of the Brocton Arch Project, Bemus Point Waterfront Revitalization Project, the Town of Sheridan's Silver Creek Senior Center Project and the most recently Brocton Main Street Project.  

For 45 Years, CHRIC has been improving the housing stock of Chautauqua County and the living conditions it's low-income residents.  As a charterded NeighborWorks organization, CHRIC provides leadership in strengthening communities and creating affordable housing opportunities for low and moderate income families.   Over the past five (5) years alone, CHRIC has created 187 New Homeowners, has counseled 940 families in Financial Literacy, Repaired or Rehabbed 651 owner-occupied homes, developed or preserved 139 rental homes, assisted 1,973 families in Chautauqua County, provided 633 volunteer hours, and provided a total of direct investment of $23,447,459 million dollars in Chautauqua County.
