8th Annual Tricky Tray

The Franklin PTO is a non-profit organization of parents/guardians, faculty, and administrators who contribute their time and talent through fundraising projects to financially meet the needs of our diverse student population. Our purpose is to devise projects to help financially support our students’ education, facilitate good communication between parents/guardians and the school community, and to foster a positive atmosphere between school and the community. Our largest project of the year is our Annual Tricky Tray. This year, the event will be held on April 21, 2023 at the Franklin Borough School.
During the tricky tray, donated items are separated into four categories by price; a Regular Tray has a minimum value of $25, a Special Tray has a minimum value of $50, a Super Tray has a minimum value of $100, and a Mega Tray has a minimum value of $250. This year we will also have a Surprise Table with cash and lottery prizes between $100 and $500. Patrons purchase tickets and place them in a numbered container. A ticket is drawn from the corresponding container to determine the winner of that specific tray.
In addition to local donations, many corporations donate their products to be showcased at our event. Last year, we had over 200 trays and were able to raise about $10,000 for our school community. Our goal this year is to bring back fun activities such as assemblies and field trips for this year’s students and next years as well. We strive to assist all departments and with your assistance, we can make a difference in the lives of children.
