Rukundo International is a Gaithersburg, Maryland-based non-profit organization. Rukundo is devoted to providing life-changing educational and economic empowerment programs to more than 1,000 children and women in southwestern Uganda. While the pandemic has caused drastic setbacks for our community, including the continued closure of our primary school, now for over 16 months, our team has persevered. Thanks to our local staff and donors, we continue to make a difference in the lives of Uganda’s most vulnerable populations. We have successfully transitioned to at-home learning and continue to offer COVID-19 relief to families in need.

On October 16th, we expect an audience of 500+ to tune in to our virtual event on Facebook, which will include live music, raffles, highlights of our accomplishments, and a silent auction! This event replaces our regular in-person Annual Gala and will serve as our primary fundraising event of the year. Funds raised from this event will assist us in providing emergency aid, education, sustainable income, and hope to Uganda’s youth.
