SNO is excited to announce its 9th Annual Brightside Produce Dinner Gala & Silent Auction, scheduled for Saturday, April 8th, 2023 at San Diego Natural History Museum. Each year this memorable event has garnered national recognition from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Our goal is to put fresh foods in food scarce communities by raising funds to support the Brightside Produce, which is a nonprofit "committed to increasing access to healthy food options in underserved communities through produce deliveries, while reducing food waste and strengthening the local food system in San Diego County.”

BrightSide produce is a place where many SNO students go to volunteer and have first-hand seen the immense impact this organization has had on our surrounding communities, and we are elated to give back to this effort. BrightSide’s vision is “for everyone in San Diego County to have access to fresh and affordable produce,” and at SNO, we align with the same values and are incredibly passionate about lending a helping hand to this cause.

This event's expected attendance is ~150 individuals. These individuals will include faculty of SDSU including the President of SDSU, professors who conduct research, registered dietitians, as well as members of SNO.
