SLEW Cancer Wellness Center is excited to announce that we will be holding our 9th Annual Faith, Strength, and Courage Luncheon on June 6, 2025. The site of the event will be the beautifully renovated Marriott, Northwest. Our speaker for the afternoon will be oncologist, Dr. Jessica Jones. The beneficiaries of this luncheon will be the beautiful, strong, and courageous women that are clients of SLEW. Because of your sponsorship, SLEW clients will be able to receive a full array of integrated, holistic services in a single location targeting Bexar County’s indigent cancer population. Services are provided at no-cost to over 700 disadvantaged cancer survivors annually who would likely experience significant
barriers to survivor care. Programs include mental health counseling; lymphatic drainage therapy; oncology massage therapy; patient navigation, case management; nutrition classes; bra and prosthetic fittings; wigs and hair dressing; food pantry; exercise classes; utility assistance; diabetes workshops and transportation. SLEW is the only agency in Bexar County proving a wrap-around care program to San Antonio’s under-served cancer population.
