Description

Our annual walkathon is a free community event open to the entire public.  Though our event is a walkathon, it's a bit non-traditional in its structure as the entire event is completely free.  Walking in the event is free as is the food and drink we provide to the walkers during the event.  Even the raffle we do as a thank you for those walking to help us collect the corporate financial pledges we've received leading up to the walk, including a $10/mile pledge up to 1,000 miles ($10,000), is free to everyone.

The pledge dollars raised from our Walkathon go towards funding new and existing programs that fulfill our organization's mission which includes empowering today's youth to be tomorrow's servant leaders.  We teach the community's youth that the greatest leaders are the greatest servants.  Serving is leading by example, even as our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ demonstrated.  Our organization also accomplishes our mission by helping the youth identify and develop their unique gifts and talents, and teaching them how to use their skills for the betterment of themselves and those they are privileged to serve throughout their lives.

Some of our existing and future programs funded through this Walk include our college scholarship fund program, Summer Vacation Camp, Ladies in Waiting (LIW) which is a purity movement program for unmarried women 15-40 years old who exalt chasity and have a mind to wait for marriage before knowing a man, and YG!, one of the most significant programs our organization offers. YG! stands for youth group.  This program is open to all community youth who want to surround themselves with others their own age who do all they can to build up and strengthen their fellow peers.  YG! has regular gatherings and is actively involved in the community.  The more funding we receive, the more volunteer efforts YG! is able to do to further shapen their servant leadership minds and prepare them for a life of honorable service.

We our honored to act as the host to this annual event and are thankful to the City of Kissimmee for being our venue sponsor, granting us over $2,500 to cover the full cost of utilizing their beautiful park on event day.

Thank you for considering being one of our raffle sponsors.
