This community run event brings individuals and businesses together for a fantastic day of golf, the Shelburne Flame of Hope offers a unique opportunity to golf with a local hockey hero! Hockey players from across Ontario step up and attend this great event as a 5th player to help raise funds and awareness for Diabetes Canada. Whether you are an avid golfer or looking for a day out with clients, the Flame of Hope Golf Tournament will guarantee a fun-filled event with games, prizes, gifts, silent and live auctions, all while supporting your community.

Camp Huronda, founded in 1964, has since become an integral part of the lives of children and families affected by type 1 diabetes. Since its inception, Camp Huronda is the only camp facility owned by Diabetes Canada and the only camp that runs a full summer program. Camp Huronda accommodates approximately 400 campers each season, ages 7 to 12 and leadership programs, ages 12 to 17. Your generosity can help send a kid to camp; the fully subsidized cost per campership is $5,000 for 2 weeks.
