Westwood Middle School, located in Elyria, Ohio, is hosting the 9th Annual Chili Cook-off and DC Auction to help raise funds for the 8th grade Washington DC trip.  All proceeds from the night goes to offset the overall cost of the trip (the cost this year per student is $664.00).  Westwood is an urban middle school servicing over 500 students in grades 5-8.  We are identified as economically disadvantaged due to the large percentage of our families living at or below the poverty line.  100% of our students are eligible for free or reduced breakfasts and lunches.  For many of our students, this is a once in a lifetime experience so we are trying to get as many of them to go to Washington DC as we can, which means we really need your help.
