On Saturday, August 2, 2025, the Rescue House, a 501(c)3 nonprofit animal welfare organization, will launch A Cause for Paws 2025-At Home Edition.  This year we are inviting all supporters to stay home and support the kitties by participating in our virtual fundraising campaign.

Our business donors and sponsors are an integral part in driving our mission of caring for homeless cats in San Diego County and placing them in loving, permanent homes.  We have provided over 720 people with healthy and loving cats and kittens this past year alone, with 19,500 people receiving companion pets over our 26-year history.  The Rescue House primarily serves San Diego County, but we also assist rescues and shelters in smaller towns in surrounding counties with high populations of homeless animals and extremely low adoption rates.  We not only resue cats in the community, but we also pull cats and kittens at risk of euthanasia from local shelters and provide resources and education on animal welfare.  Each cat or kitten we bring into our organization is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV, and given other medical care as needed.  We truly save lives and reduce loneliness for those people who adopt a beautiful cat or kitten as a companion.  

Your partipation as a donor to our online auction will not only help advance our mission but will give you visibility among our approximately 15,000 supporters.  Our local supporters include men and women from across SD County, with interests spanning the arts, entertainment, dining, sports, health, lifestyle and more (as well as the welfare of cats, of course).  Our social media followers include men and women across the globe.  

The Rescue House is a volunteer-run organization and because we have no facility costs, your donation will go directly to meet the needs of the cats in our care.  We hope you will seriously consider our request and make a difference in the lives of homesless animals and the people who adopt and love them.
