Description

Help BHcare Build a Better Tomorrow

Join us on Saturday, June 3, from 10 am to 3 pm at Quarry Walk in Oxford for A Chance to Shine 2023.

The morning will begin with a Walk to Remember in honor of Lori Jackson and those who may have lost their lives to or are survivors of domestic violence, mental health issues or substance use.

We'll have live music by Morgan Skelly and the Old Crows, kids' bike parade, touch-a-truck, raffles, 50/50 and more. Bring your own blankets and snacks or grab a bite at one of the several Quarry Walk eateries.

Help us raise funds and awareness for BHcare's life-saving programs and build a better tomorrow for the more than 15,000 residents we serve in 87 Connecticut towns.

A Chance to Shine is an annual event to benefit all BHcare programs: The Umbrella Center for Domestic Violence Services, the Hope Family Justice Center, the Parent Child Resource Center, Alliance for Prevention and Wellness, BHcare’s mental health and substance use services. The event will raise funds and awareness for our life-saving programs and celebrate the amazing communities we serve from the Shoreline to the Valley.

All proceeds will support the more than 15,000 adults, children and families struggling with mental health, substance use, domestic violence and other health-risk behaviors who receive BHcare’s comprehensive and integrated system of care with wrap-around services. In addition, we will shine a light on not only the services our friends, families and neighbors need but, on the survivors and thrivers who continue to persist and better their lives.
