Welcome to “A Greek Odyssey” - Pittsburgh Youth Concert Orchestra’s Spring 2023 gala event, held on Saturday, May 20th from 6:00 to 8:30 pm. A Greek Odyssey Gala gathers families, musicians, community members, and supporters for our most significant fundraiser of the year. Enjoy delicious food, satisfying drinks, and beautiful music as you experience Greek culture in anticipation of PYCO’s next international performance tour of Greece in July 2024!

The Pittsburgh Youth Concert Orchestra, commonly known as PYCO, has been successfully contributing to music education in the greater Pittsburgh area for over sixteen years. Founded by Artistic Director, Pablo Ardiles, PYCO educates and trains young musicians in the pursuit of excellence in musical performance. Beginning with eighteen members in 2006, PYCO has grown to serve nearly 200 young musicians yearly and has impacted the lives of thousands of students and their families!

Serving young musicians in Grades 4 – 12 through various ensembles - including a full symphony orchestra - PYCO performs numerous concerts each year and reaches an audience of over 500 at each performance! In addition to the full symphony orchestra, PYCO offers many opportunities for musicians at various levels, including beginner string and wind ensembles, an intermediate string ensemble, jazz ensembles, and chamber music ensembles. PYCO also offers annual summer camps, and performs throughout Europe regularly! Our Gala fundraising goal of $15,000 will help keep tuition costs low and provide students with PYCO scholarships, new musical scores, inspiring performance opportunities, and more. Your support makes a difference in children’s lives, not only musically but intellectually, socially, and emotionally.
