About Ronald McDonald House. For more than 34 years, RMHC has seen how the need to travel to metropolitan Phoenix for pediatric care can bring financial difficulties, emotional uncertainty, and seemingly impossible decisions, to families who find themselves coping with a medical crisis of a young loved one. RMHCCNAZ’s mission is to be a partner for families, providing essential health and well-being services, such as temporary accommodations, volunteer-prepared meals, and other supportive amenities, that keep families close to their sick child and focused on what is most important – the health of their child. Because of community supporters, RMHC was proud to provide a “home-away-from-home” at three Houses (two in Phoenix and one in Mesa) to 1,046 families last year that stayed 17,566 nights. The average family stay was 7 nights at a cost $77 per night. We ask families for a $15 per night donation however, thanks to our generous donors and sponsors, no family is ever turned away due to the inability to contribute to the cost of their stay.

Regarding the Gala. A McNight to Remember Gala is our annual signature fundraising event. All funds raised at the gala ensure that we can provide a “home-away-from-home” for families caring for children receiving pediatric care a local hospitals and medical centers.

The year’s gala will be held at JW Marriott Camelback Inn Resort in Scottsdale and includes a hosted cocktail hour, dinner and after party, along with several fundraising activities: Silent Auction, Live Auction, Help-A-Family Appeal, Vacation Raffle and Mystery Box Offer.

Each year the Gala takes on a storybook theme and brings the pages to life via elegant décor, props, character actors, and much more. This year’s Around the World in 80 Days - themed McNight Gala promises to be our largest, most highly attended event with an affluent audience of more than 700 supporters who include Valley business executives, hospital partners, community leaders, and philanthropic donors. We also take time to honor our partners who have distinguished themselves, celebrating their generous contributions of time, talent and treasure on a variety of levels that make our House a home. This year’s honorees are Marty Manning (Individual Heart of the House) and Thunderbirds Charities (Corporate Heart of the House).
