Description

The FiberMax Center for Discory is hosting its 12th annual fundraiser on August 29th at 7 pm. This event will be held at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center, where past attendance has consistently averaged around 1,000-1,200 attendees.

Last year we set a new record with the silent auction raising over $31,000 of funds for the FCFD. This year the keynote speaker is Texas Tech University Chancellor Tedd Mitchell.

Our auction will be listed online through the host OneCause and will be open to the public for online and mobile bidding starting two weeks prior to the event. All donors will be recognized on our website, social media, event posters, and event programs. If you have any business cards or brochures, we would love to display them at the event beside your item.

All proceeds for the event go towards the FCFD and preserving the history of American agriculture for future generations to come. We are about to break ground on our third phase of the museum: AgWorks and the Cotton Heritage Center. AgWorks is an interactive children’s wing designed to immerse children in production agriculture. The wing will include exhibits set as a grocery store, veterinarian’s office, milking barn, irrigation experience, tractor pedal race track, and more. The Cotton Heritage Center will spotlight all of our cotton exhibits as well as the Goodman Gin, a 150-year-old gin that is being relocated to the FCFD.

We would be honored to have your support. Every single item helps us reach our goals.
