Description

On behalf of Patient Advocate Foundation, its staff and those we serve daily, I would like to invite you to donate an auction item or sponsor a table at Patient Advocate Foundation’s annual fundraising event, A Promise of Hope. The event is scheduled to be held September 16, 2023, at the Newport News Marriott City Center.

All funds raised from the silent auction during the A Promise of Hope Affair gala will be used to focus on expanding support of our Scholarship for Survivors program and provide for an annual award of $3,000, up to four consecutive years, to forty (40) students that have been diagnosed with cancer or a chronic disease.

A lot of people dream about impacting world change.  Some people are distinguished by a decision to act. In 2000, Patient Advocate Foundation’s Scholarship for Survivors program was born from the idea that together we could make inspirational impact in the lives of students who have experienced debilitating and life-threatening illnesses. PAF did not just dream about making our world better—we took a chance on the dreams of deserving young adults by making their educational dreams come to life—with help from supporters like you who decided to act.

Over the past 20 years, PAF’s Scholarship for Survivors program has reduced the educational financial burden by nearly a million dollars for over 155 students diagnosed with cancer and chronic diseases.
